Training Course Outline

Course Name: Working at Height for Supervisor-Refresher (WAH-S-R)

Training Duration: 0.5 Days (Including Theory & Practical Training)

Training Time: 08:00 – 12:00

Class Size: Minimum 6 Persons / Maximum 15 Persons.

Certification: Certificate to be issued by 3M Safety Training Center Thailand.

Certification Validity Period: Statement of Attainment valid for 2 years from date of issue.

Training Location: 3M Safety Training Center Thailand /or Onsite.

Overview:

This course has been designed to meet or exceed the minimum standard for Working at Height Training for Supervisor Level, as stipulated by ANSI Z359.2 and OSHA 1926.503.

This course is aimed at refreshing students in the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to competently, safely work at height and supervise work at height.

This course has been contextualized to address working activities, hazards and fall protection equipment used in Industry.

Target Audience:

Any and all personnel at a Supervisor Level, Safety Officer, Specialist, Engineer or above,         who is work include working at height, supervising work at height activities and who wish to refresher their 3M Certificate.

Student Prerequisites:

Students should be physically fit and able to participate in moderately strenuous practical activities.

Students shall be following Drug / Alcohol Policy.

Students don’t were any short trouser and sandal to Training Center.

Student shall prepare and were Safety Boots for Training.

Document Prerequisite for Training:

• Medical Checkup Document.
• Copy of ID. Card /or Passport.
• Existing Training Certificate will be /or was expired. 

Learning Objectives:

On completion, students will be able to demonstrate competence in the theory and practice of the following:

• Review and identify legislative requirements for working at height and fall protection.
• Review and identify roles and responsibilities for working at height and fall protection.
• Review and identify hazards, control measures to mitigate risk and undertake risk assessment while working at height.
• Review and develop procedures for the use of fall protection systems.
• Review and apply best practices for prevention of dropped objects.
• Review and apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of access systems.
• Review and apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of fall prevention systems.
• Review and apply best practices for the selection, use, maintenance and evaluate of fall arrest systems.
• Review and apply conditions and limitations of fall arrest equipment standards.
• Review and apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of anchorage, body support, connectors, descent systems, emergency and rescue systems.
• Demonstrate pre-use inspection and fitting of a personal fall arrest system.
• Demonstrate basic horizontal and vertical movement using personal fall arrest system.
• Demonstrate advanced horizontal and vertical movement using fall arrest systems.
• Demonstrate work positioning using fall arrest systems.
• Demonstrate reacting to a fall emergency (as the casualty).
• Demonstrate responding to a fall emergency (as the first person on the scene).
• Demonstrate basic post rescue casualty management.
• Demonstrate automatic descent evacuation.

Note: This cost is included as the following items below, when conduct training at 3M Safety Training Center Thailand:

• Basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supported during Practical Training such as Safety Helmet, Safety Glasses, Coverall and Gloves.
• Meal Provided with Lunch and 2 Coffee breaks per Day.
